Reputation intelligence
for a Manhattan litigation boutique.
Built a custom AI reputation audit for Kessler & Vann LLP — pulls reviews across 8 platforms, runs sentiment and theme analysis, drafts responses in the managing partner's voice, and produces a single-page weekly action plan. Turned a 15-hour-per-week manual chore into a 92-second automated process.
Reviews were everywhere and nothing was happening to them.
When we started with Kessler & Vann LLP in early February, they had 300 reviews scattered across 8 platforms. The managing partner tried to stay on top of them manually. Three platforms hadn't received a single response in over a year. The weekly “how are we doing?” partner meeting was vibes, not data.
| Platform | Reviews | Avg ★ | Response rate |
|---|---|---|---|
Google Business | 148 | 4.4 | 31% |
Avvo | 52 | 4.7 | 19% |
Martindale-Hubbell | 17 | 4.8 | 6% |
Yelp | 23 | 3.9 | 9% |
Justia | 14 | 4.6 | 0% |
Lawyers.com | 9 | 4.3 | 0% |
LinkedIn recs | 31 | 4.9 | 16% |
Super Lawyers | 6 | 5.0 | 0% |
Watch it run once.
Scroll into view to trigger. This is the exact sequence that runs in production every Sunday night at 11pm, so the managing partner's Monday-morning email already has answers.
The boring part: every number moved up.
62 → 89, no gimmicks
Weighted composite of review volume, star distribution, response rate, recency, and sentiment across all 8 platforms. Crescendo engagement begins at Kickoff.
From 21% to 95% in six weeks
Of every review left in the last 30 days, 95% now have a partner-approved response live within 48 hours. Drafts generated nightly; partner approves in batch on Monday.
5-star rate · before & after
Rate of 5-star reviews grew because (a) the firm proactively asked satisfied clients at discharge, and (b) dormant 4-star reviewers were re-engaged with personalized follow-ups.
11 → 32 weekly inquiries
Direct inbound via firm website, Google profile, and phone. Not attributed 100% to reputation work, but the acceleration aligns with response-rate catching up.
Not insights. Actions.
The audit's output isn't a 40-page PDF that no one reads. It's three specific things to do this week, with the work already drafted. Here are the recommendations from week 4 of the engagement.
“Rachel returned every call within 24 hours and her paralegal Nina was phenomenal — but two emails to the junior associate went unanswered for a week.”
Institute 24-hour client email SLA firm-wide. Auto-acknowledgement template drafted.
“Walked in thinking we'd lose at least something. Kessler's team got a full dismissal in under 90 days.”
Surface 3 strongest outcome stories on the website in a case-study format.
“Excellent lawyers but the bills came with 47 line items and no context. Took 3 rounds of emails to understand a single invoice.”
Redesign invoice template with narrative summary + line items. Mock approved by managing partner.
The math, plainly.
Partner + paralegal hours saved 15 hrs/week × 52 weeks | 780 hrs |
Value of recovered partner time @ $225/hr blended | $175,500 |
Incremental client inquiries 21 more/month × 12 | +252 |
New matters @ 18% inquiry-to-matter conversion | +45 |
Incremental matter revenue @ $42,000 average matter fee | $1,890,000 |
Crescendo retainer $6,400/month × 12 | −$76,800 |
Net annual value created before any downstream referral effects | $1,988,700 |
The retainer pays for itself in recovered partner hours alone, before counting a single incremental matter.
- Reputation management SaaS$1,200/mo
- Review monitoring tool$400/mo
- Agency-drafted responses$1,800/mo
- Manual partner time17 hrs/wk
Replaced all of the above. Still custom to K&V's voice.
“We used to wake up on Monday and just hope nothing was on fire. Now the audit runs over the weekend, we get a single page on Monday morning that says exactly what to do, and the drafted responses are 90% of the way there. The five-star rate moving from 55 to 77 percent paid for the engagement in the first month.”
